AI fuelling candidate deception, but employers can adapt

Australian jobseekers are more likely than those in other countries to use AI when applying for jobs, and most admit to some level of deception with it, research shows.

According to Capterra's Job Seeker AI survey, Australians have a 15% higher uptake of AI tools during jobseeking than the global average.

And of the 73% of Australians using AI tools to help them in their current job search, 90% say they have leveraged it to exaggerate or lie about their skills on a resume, cover letter, job application, or skills assessment...
