Balance of office time keeps shifting; News in brief

Some 66% of Australian employers are changing their office attendance policies this year, a new report suggests. Meanwhile CPOs are upskilling; salary growth remains steady; new psych injury laws are on the way; and more.

Elmo Software's 2025 HR Industry Benchmark Report shows that 77% of organisations mandate some office time, while only 16% of employees have full control over their hybrid schedules. Notably, 39% of employers require workers to be in the office five days a week.
