A major review has largely rejected arguments that the Closing Loopholes reforms have had "unintended consequences" for employers, however it recommends that clearer guidance should be developed as a priority, to reduce uncertainty and complexity.
As previously reported, Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Amanda Rishworth appointed former Fair Work Commissioner Susan Booth to conduct an independent review of the reforms late last year.
Booth's 461-page draft report was published today, and it makes 52 recommendations in total.
Acknowledging the multiple ways that stakeholders connected particular reforms to complexity concerns, Booth expresses the view that complexity is not "inherently problematic"...
