Crucial questions surface leadership gaps in positive duty compliance

Leadership is the first of seven areas employers must address to meet their positive duty to eliminate s-xual harassment, but what is "proportionate and appropriate" will vary between organisations, a workplace lawyer says.

In a new HR Daily Premium webcast on the Respect@Work laws, King & Wood Mallesons' senior consultant Brett Feltham sets out each area of the Australian Human Rights Commission's recommended framework for positive duty compliance.

In some cases, he says, the steps one employer takes will be "well and truly beyond" what another is capable of, but each of the seven areas requires consideration nonetheless...
