The Fair Work Commission has issued a warning that AI tools are "no substitute for knowledge and understanding", in a case involving a worker who used ChatGPT to prepare her unfair dismissal claim.
"Such tools can be immensely useful," commented Commissioner Sarah McKinnon.
However, she said in this case, using ChatGPT might have resulted in a letter that was "misconceived and thus ineffective".
"Relying on documents without understanding what they say or mean is fraught with risk," she warned...
