The HR jobs market remains "robust" by historical standards, despite demand for professionals falling significantly since last year.
HR job opportunities have softened from the extraordinary record highs of early 2023, but the shift signals a return to pre-pandemic benchmarks rather than a downturn, according to Merridy Thomas, NSW director at The Next Step.
"We're seeing a recalibration in the HR job market," she said.
