Job-share requests lacked required nexus with employees' age
Job-share requests made by two employees over 55 lacked the required nexus with their age to be validly made, the Fair Work Commission has ruled, dismissing the disputes.
But Commissioner Jennifer Hunt said that if she hadn't come to this conclusion, she would have likely made orders along the lines they sought.
The disputes, heard together, involved a production technician and panel technician at Shell Australia FLNG's Prelude offshore floating liquified natural gas facility, located 200km off the coast of Western Australia.
