Managing remotely akin to "raising a child you see once a week"

Remote work now "stands in the way" of many important conversations and healthy workplace relationships, according to world-renowned psychotherapist Esther Perel.

The quality of a person's relationships determines the quality of their life, and this applies to the workplace as well as the home, she said in her keynote address to Culture Amp's Culture First Global Conference last week.

"If you are working with people that keep you up at night and you are miserable and fretting, no amount of pay cheque, no amount of free food, and no amount of gyms; none of this will actually make up for it," according to Perel, who joined Culture Amp as an external advisor earlier this year...
