Salary growth remains "modest" for HR professionals, according to a major remuneration report.

Almost a third of professionals (31%) reported no salary change over the past 12 months, Hays says in its FY26/27 Salary Guide.

Among those receiving a pay rise: 5% received an increase of up to 2.4%; 23% received 2.5–5%; and 18% received 6–10%.

Hays surveyed more than 7,000 professionals (across multiple sectors) for its report, and found just 36% of HR and recruitment professionals are satisfied or very satisfied with their salary...
