'No' clubs are helping prevent burnout at work

Leaders should think twice before agreeing to perform additional tasks that won't benefit them, an expert warns.

Saying 'yes' can feel good, says Inventium founder Dr Amantha Imber, but it won't necessarily further a leader's career.

"Ask yourself the question: is this something that I should be doing that will help progress my career and goals, or should I actually say 'no' to this opportunity?"

That's not to say leaders should never say yes to "good citizenship", but it is critical they don't take on an overwhelming workload...
