Psych risks aren't just in "the big things" HR worries about
It's been a "remarkable" 12 months in the psychosocial safety space, but two cases in particular contain vital lessons for employers and HR, according to a lawyer.
"In terms of cases that have had an impact, certainly from my clients' perspective, there's two that stand out," Mallesons partner Cilla Robinson told the recent Sonder Summit.
"One is the criminal conviction of the Department of Defence late last year," Robinson said.
(As previously reported by HR Daily, this prosecution resulted in a $188k fine and an adverse publicity order, which the Department recently complied with by publishing a statement about its psychosocial safety failings.)
