Who's moving up in HR roles so far in 2026
Senior people and culture professionals from organisations including Atlassian, Newmont, The Human Collaborative and more have been on the move during the first quarter of 2026, alongside many others in HR-related roles.
Global accounting and advisory firm BDO has promoted Kerry Atkinson to the role of chief people officer, responsible for the organisation's people strategy and operations. Also joining the c-suite is Willem Olivier, as chief risk officer. Announcing the appointments, chief executive partner David Garvey said: "Strong governance and a strong people experience go hand in hand."
Sean Garbett has joined The Human Collaborative as managing partner, formalising a long-standing partnership with founder Sue Howse. Garbett has more than 25 years' global experience across workforce solutions, human capital management and technology, including in senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young, ManpowerGroup and SAP Fieldglass.
