Workforce data helps employers address neuroinclusion barriers

A first-of-its-kind guide on capturing and reporting on workforce neurodiversity data aims to equip employers to identify and act on their neuroinclusion 'pain points'.

The Neurodiversity data at work guide, released today by Diversity Council Australia and Autism advocacy organisation Amaze, draws on academic research and a survey of nearly 3,000 people to help organisations become more neuroinclusive.

An estimated 15–20% of people are neurodivergent, DCA CEO Catherine Hunter says, but "until now, many organisations haven't had the tools they need to understand their employees' experiences or the barriers they face at work".

Neurodiversity data is a "powerful tool" that can help employers better understand their workforce, identify neuroinclusion challenges within their organisations, and track the impact of neuroinclusion initiatives, the guide says...
