One in three Australian workers (33%) report having experienced workplace s-xual harassment in the past five years. Meanwhile, a new jurisdiction to resolve bullying and harassment disputes is also the first to allow for damages orders.
Consolidating national survey findings, complaint volumes, and case law, the report from Burke Mangan Lawyers suggests that "harassment continues at scale".
"Despite more than a decade of reform and awareness, the numbers remain stubbornly high," says founding partner Lyndon Burke.
"It's clear that policy on paper hasn't yet translated into safer workplaces."
