AI reconnecting employees to purposeful work

When it's not possible to retain employees with above-market salaries, "connection to purpose" is a great thing to cultivate, and its becoming easier with AI, a panel of technology and HR specialists agree.

The rising cost of living has contributed to a misalignment in salary expectations between employers and employees, says Meghan Donnithorne, director tech and transformation at Robert Walters.

Highlighting some findings of Robert Walters' 2025 Tech and Transformation Salary Guide at a recent event, Donnithorne pointed out that 58% of tech professionals believe they could be earning more elsewhere, and 74% say salary increases haven't kept up with inflation.

Meanwhile, the report also shows that 74% of employers expect the rising cost of living to impact their ability to retain staff...
