The best way to deal with a workplace conflict depends on the level of trust and shared values between the parties, as what works in one situation can spell disaster in another, according to a workplace commentator.
Conflict is a necessary ingredient to organisational success, and cultures that encourage avoidance and surface-level harmony do so at their peril, author and entrepreneur Tim Duggan tells HR Daily.
Duggan writes a column about work for mainstream newspapers, and says he realised recently that almost all his topics have involved some form of tension.
