An employee, who alleged managers bullied her during a performance management process, has failed to secure interim orders blocking her dismissal until the conclusion of her stop-bullying claim.
In May this year, the Australian Taxation Office informed the economist it was extending her six-month probation period so it could provide her with more support. It also said it would implement a month-long performance improvement plan, to address issues related to her professional communication, workplace behaviour and ability to follow instructions.
According to the employer, her performance failed to improve during the PIP, and it told her it was considering dismissal.
The employee subsequently made a stop-bullying claim, and sought interim orders preventing the employer from terminating her employment until her case was determined...
