Burnout predictable if workplace culture is "always striving"

A culture of endless striving without periods of consolidation is one of the two root causes of today's exhausted and ineffective workforce, a leadership specialist says.

According to The Culture Institute of Australia CEO Karl Treacher, current high levels of burnout are a predictable "cultural output".

"When organisations burn their people, it's because they have built systems that produce fire," Treacher says in his new book, Built to Burn.
