When workplaces harness their "superpowers" of empathy, creativity, systems thinking and wisdom, employees over 50 offer "the ideal workforce for the modern world", a career coach says.
It's a myth that life after 50 is a "slow decline", but discrimination against older workers remains a "harsh reality", says career change specialist and coach Robyn Greaves, in her new book Your Third Chapter.
Conversely, it's a fact that employees' key skills can "skyrocket" in later years, but to maintain peak performance as they age, they must believe it's possible, Greaves says.
