An organisation that has quickly grown to 1,000 staff, but until recently was still relying on spreadsheets to store and manage its people data, says a system overhaul took it "from zero to 100".
The previous system was "basically non-existent", Atturra COO David Dekker tells HR Daily.
Over the years, the tech company had grown both organically and by acquiring multiple smaller businesses, none of which was large enough to have a system worth adopting. What was in place wasn't scalable, or industry standard, he says; it was "all over the shop" and at some point would have to "crack".
By 2021, when Atturra listed on the ASX and had 500 staff, it envisaged growing, "quite easily, to 5,000", Dekker says. It was a case of, "okay, now we need to do it"...
