"Connecting the dots" between previously disjointed HR processes has helped an organisation save hundreds of days of administrative effort each year, and dramatically improve its employee experience.
"We kicked off this project because we wanted to create a better experience for our people and create more efficiencies in the processes," GPT Group head of people business partnering and talent Lucy Nowland says of the property group's extensive system overhaul.
The change was prompted by a need to update the payroll component in the system it had implemented eight years earlier. Despite only having 12 months before the deadline, GPT decided not only to update its existing modules, but to implement four new ones from the SAP SuccessFactors suite.
The timeframe was daunting, but the upgrade would allow HR to better connect and manage payroll, recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance and goals, succession and development, and compensation, which in turn would help it deliver a better employee experience...
