A specialist IT worker who signed an independent contractor agreement has failed to convince the Fair Work Commission the arrangement was a "sham".

The worker was providing his services to Tabcorp, which was undertaking a major IT project.

In late June this year he was advised by Tabcorp that his contract would not be renewed because he was "not a good fit to perform work"...
