An employer was entitled to summarily dismiss a worker for "blatantly disregarding" its mobile phone ban, the Fair Work Commission has found.
In finding the factory employee's dismissal fair, Commissioner Emma Thornton accepted that the employer implemented the rule for "compelling business and safety reasons" and had clearly communicated it to the employee.
