Employers should be preparing now for an exodus of tenured executives in the near future, an advisor to CHROs says.
"Given how critical having a stable and tenured executive team is for organisational growth and performance, this should be a top priority," says Gartner HR practice vice president Aaron McEwan.
Gartner's research suggests that a concerning proportion of C-suite leaders are open to leaving their current role – more than half in a global survey indicated an intention to depart in the next two years, while 27% considered themselves likely or extremely likely to leave in the next six months.
