When it comes to gender equality in senior ranks, new data indicates "we're going in the wrong direction", and "a different level of conversation" is needed, according to a leadership development expert.
The 2024 Chief Executive Women senior executive census shows that in the past 12 months, only one in eight CEO appointments in the ASX 300 were female, compared with one in four in 2023, and that only 25 of the CEOs are women.
