"Hidden" workforce costs pose major risk to AI ROI

Workforce costs are becoming a major risk to employers' return on their AI investment, and many organisations are yet to consider the full range of potential impacts, an HR advisor says.

The key drivers of AI costs come down to technology, people, and processes, says Robin Boomer, senior director analyst in Gartner's HR practice.

On the tech side, "tokenomics" is getting a lot of attention, but in many cases the people category is being overlooked, particularly in longer-term calculations of operating costs and ROI, he tells HR Daily.
