HR function "creating a cultural mindset" for AI adoption

A major employer's P&C team is driving AI adoption across the whole organisation through a top-down approach, which monitors activity and celebrates top users.

When she was preparing its people strategy for the current financial year, NBN chief people officer Sally Kincaid knew "the most important lever" for her function would be AI adoption, she tells HR Daily.

But for the broader organisation, HR also had to play a crucial change management role, she says.

When COVID forced a sudden shift to working, learning, and telehealth from home, it was NBN that enabled it, Kincaid notes, and now the organisation is enabling the "AI revolution".

Providing and digital access and lifting digital capability is central to NBN's purpose, so creating the right "cultural mindset" for AI adoption is a logical priority for its P&C function, she says...
