Manager's "disgusting, disparaging comments" warranted sacking

A manager who privately vented about his stressful and "toxic" workplace was appropriately sacked for misconduct, with a commission finding he contributed to the negative culture.

NSW Ambulance dismissed the duty operations manager in August last year after an investigation found he had breached its code of conduct.

It found that between 2016 and 2020, he sent his supervisor emails and texts that referred to employees as "spastics" and "c-nts", and included comments such as "retard crew", "just have to push Jeff down the stairs", "going to throat punch him", and "she's doing f-ck all".

The manager also made a homophobic comment about a senior leader being a "shirt lifter"...
