Misplaced liability fears hindering psychosocial safety management

Executives' misplaced fears around liability are standing in the way of psychosocial safety management, while increasing "the far greater risks of inaction", experts warn.

When HR and safety specialists are seeking support for psychosocial safety programs, they're commonly frustrated by reluctant executives, says Sean Fyfe, managing director of risk management platform Mibo.

But this shows a misplaced fear or understanding of where their liability sits, he tells HR Daily.

It's a view also held by work health and safety expert Tony Morris, who co-wrote a whitepaper on the topic with Mibo chief of psychosocial safety Dr Anthony Ross.
