There's been a dramatic increase in employees covered by an enterprise agreement over the past year, but bargaining is "not something to be afraid of", an expert advisor says.
While much has changed in bargaining, it's still the case that most employees aren't afraid of it, while a lot of employers are, Humanify HR Consulting managing director Sarah Queenan tells HR Daily.
"[Many employers] don't have the confidence. They potentially haven't spent the time upskilling and familiarising themselves with some of the new legislative changes.
"I think they're very concerned about multi-enterprise bargaining, and the potential increased influence that unions now have in this space as well..."
