Although an employee became "disillusioned" during her performance management, the process was fair, and she had options other than agreeing to terminate her employment, the Fair Work Commission has found in rejecting her unfair dismissal claim.
The employee argued it wasn't reasonable to increase her call monitoring by 900% during the process, but after analysing her targets Deputy President Tony Saunders considered the number was acceptable for an employee who had "experienced difficulties" meeting the required standards.
In October last year, the Services Australia call centre employee exercised her right under the relevant enterprise agreement to consent to the termination of her employment.
She subsequently claimed her dismissal was harsh, unjust and unreasonable...
