To move the needle on engagement, focus on "the middle children"

HR can't afford to ignore difficult employees, but focusing on them at the expense of others is like giving too much attention to a child who's throwing a tantrum, a strategist warns.

In his new book Unlock: Engage the seemingly disengaged, operational excellence strategist Ishan Galapathy says that "when focusing on the factors to move the needle on engagement, even Gallup has missed an obvious point".
