In rejecting an employee's appeal over his failed unfair dismissal claim, the Fair Work Commission has reinforced that it does not have to make general enquiries into workplace conduct or culture to conduct a fair hearing.
The case involved a patent examiner, employed by IP Australia since 2012, who gave the employer one month's notice of his resignation in February this year.
His letter said: "I cannot in good faith support unlawful, unreasonable, unfair, inefficient, and abusive management practices"...
