Warning signs of conflict and systemic issues rising

Warning signs of systemic issues are on the rise in organisations, and they call for a more nuanced approach to conflict resolution, according to a specialist.

Such warning signs include increases in absenteeism, performance problems, and near misses from hazards or injuries (both physical and mental), Resolution Institute CEO Amber Williams tells HR Daily.

She's also hearing many clients say employees are talking about workplace culture and work/life balance, and how they're feeling unsupported in their caring responsibilities, for example.

With this type of complaint, she says, "it's a broader discussion rather than just two people not getting on, or a manager and an employee not getting on"...
