What it really takes to "move the dial" on performance and productivity

Effective competency and capability frameworks can boost performance and productivity, but too often they're a set of stagnant documents instead of active systems, a specialist warns.

It's "fantastic" that Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) is considering how skill development shifts across people's working lives, and moving to a national skills taxonomy, says Acorn head of capabilities Ben Satchwell.

However, he tells HR Daily that while skills are part of the productivity puzzle, they're not "the total answer".

"You can't really move the dial" on performance without factoring in the "behavioural indicators of what good performance looks like in the workplace", he explains...
