Too much focus on top performers holds back the team

Organisations focus too much on their top-performing employees, which can overload them with work while robbing teammates of an opportunity to shine, a performance specialist says.

Culture Amp senior people scientist Kristina Dorniak-Wall says it's easy to fall into the trap of focusing on one or two employees as if they'll always be the top performers in a team, forgetting that performance isn't innate and does fluctuate.
