Contracting exclusion and fairness arguments rejected in 'same pay' test case

The Fair Work Commission has rejected arguments that it wasn't appropriate or fair to make 'same job, same pay' orders for more than 2,000 workers, in a major ruling on the provisions that will add about $66 million to the affected employers' wages bills.






FWC increases minimum wage, minimum award rates by 3.5%

The Fair Work Commission has decided to raise the national minimum wage and minimum award rates by 3.5%, after four years of declining "real wages" for these workers. Meanwhile, more than 70% of HR leaders think employees now value financial wellbeing programs as much as physical and mental health offerings.
